Two comedians in a 1952 VW Bug

In the first installment of Jerry Seinfeld’s new web-series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry picks up co-creator of the Seinfeld sitcom, Larry David. The two renown comedians cruise around LA in Jerry’s 25 HP 1952 VW Bug, which after the Fiat Topolino (released in 1936) is arguably to first European people’s car. Jerry’s bug has 47,452 miles on it, features semaphore turn signals, and a small four-cylinder engine.

While on the way to a coffee shop, Jerry and Larry notice a black and yellow Bugatti Veyron parked on the side of the street, which prompts an interesting discussion of the VW group and it’s connection to both the inexpensive utilitarian bug, and the million-dollar hyper car.
