German tuning company, ABT specializes in tuning Audi and Volkswagen products, so it should come as no surprise that they have recently unveiled their version of the Audi B8 RS4.
ABT hasn’t noticeably improved the car’s performance, from the factory the Audi RS4 produces 450 hp and 317 fb-lb. The RS4 reaches 60 mph in 4.7 seconds on its way to an electrically limited 155 mph. But the tuning firm has removed the car’s electric limiter, allowing it to reach 175 mph. ABT has also added an improved exhaust system to give the car a beefier sound, it has lowed the car and widened the car to accommodate 20” ABT wheels, and it has added a slightly different rear diffuser finished in gunmetal.
While competitors move to turbocharged engines for their performance cars, Audi decided to stick with a normally aspirated 4.2 liter V-8 engine that revs to an impressive 8,000 rpm. Unlike its predecessor, the widely acclaimed B7 RS4 which used a manual transmission, the B8 uses a seven speed dual clutch s-tronic transmission that allows for a nice comprise between everyday drivability, and terrifically fast shifts when desired.
