The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is home to a huge number of wealthy people considering the country’s small size. Alain Class Motors is the dealership wealthy sports car enthusiasts visit when they’re in Dubai and want to test-drive the most exclusive cars in the world.
Not only does the dealership supply rich and famous clients, but Alain Class Motors has become famous itself. It was recently featured in an article on Top Gear, and if you pay close attention, a good number of car magazines thank Alain Class Motors for helping writers get their hands on cars manufactures are unwilling to present to the press.
A particularly rare Mercedes, the SLR Stirling Moss, is for sale by Alain Class Motors for an undisclosed price (though it’s likely around $800,000). Only 75 of the roadsters were made to commemorate Sir Stirling Moss and his Mille Miglia racing Mercedes 300 SLR. Like the 300 SLR, the SLR Stirling Moss has a long front hood, and a short rear-end topped with two flowing roll bars. The SLR Stirling Moss is available only to those who have bought other SLR variants such as the SLR McLaren, the SLR 722, or the Roadster.
The SLR Stirling Moss uses an AMG built V8 producing 640 hp and 580 lb-ft to reach 62 mph in 3.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 220 mph. Thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber and the lack of any windshield or roof, the SLR Stirling Moss weighs 400 lbs less than the SLR McLaren. We imagine it’s a bit windier in the cabin too.
