In their never ending effort to remind potential customers of their pride in the Motor City, Chrysler has launched a new ad campaign featuring Motown Records founder Barry Gordy and a special edition Chrysler 300. Gordy rides in the back of a Motown Edition 300 as he talks about Detroit set to music by Marvin Gay.
The Motown Edition 300 receives a reworked chrome grill and rear fascia, chrome mirror caps, and door handles. The car also receives chrome 20” wheels, and a large panoramic glass roof. The interior features stereo equipment by Dr. Dre, white leather seats with black piping, several embossed Motown badges, and 100 pre-loaded songs from Motown Records on the car’s infotainment system.
The Chrysler 300 is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 producing 292 hp, and is mated to an 8-speed transmission from ZF Friedrichshafen AG (or just ZF Group for short).
If you didn’t already guess where this was going, the special edition Chrysler 300 will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show starting January 14.
