In May 1963, Ferruccio Lamborghini founded “Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A,” and forever changed the world of supercars. Starting with the Lamborghini 350 GT, Lamborghini wanted to create ultimate road cars, made not to finance a race team, but for the sake of making excellent road cars, period.
Lamborghini will celebrate their 50th anniversary by gathering Lamborghini owners from around the world to drive the length of Italy. On May 7, owners and their Lamborghinis will meet in Milan from there they will drive to the resort, Forte dei Marmi, from there they’ll go to Bologna, next to Rome, and finally to the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. At the factory, “participants will visit the historic museum, the production facility, as well as enjoy other Lamborghini experiences.”
It’s being predicted by a number of news sources that Lamborghini will unveil either a special edition car, or a totally new Lamborghini to mark the occasion.
